Things that have brought me joy this summer
From books, to recipes, to swimsuit bottoms (!) and more
Hello dear ones! I’m back from a wonderful trip to Colorado with my family celebrating my parents’ fiftieth wedding anniversary (we were in Grand Lake, a little town on a gorgeous lake at the foot of the Rocky Mountain National Forest—I highly recommend it!). We arrived home late on Sunday night and discovered that we had no water—not even a drip was coming out of the faucets. As I write this on Monday I’d give anything for a shower, or at least to wash my face (we did buy jugs of water this morning to brush our teeth 😂). Hopefully the issue will be fixed by tomorrow (we found out we have to replace the pump on our well… ugh). I therefore thought I’d do something a bit different today. Let’s focus on what I am grateful for.
I’ve been so thankful for a few random things this summer—from my favorite new food book, to a hair-changing “non-shampoo,” to my do-it-all chef’s knife, to a recipe I’ve been making on repeat, to swimsuit bottoms (omg)—and thought I’d share them with you. I’m not affiliated with any of these items (there are no affiliate or sponsored links); I just thought it would be fun to feature them here in the hopes that you’ll share too! Are there any products/books/items/etc. that you’ve been loving this summer?
